Yesterday we saw how 1,376,284,234 Laws can be condensed into just 1 Law! – a simple command from God.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14

For most of us this can be a real challenge because our sinful nature demands more attention than anyone else could ever capture.

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21

The Apostle Paul had the answer though:

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
Galatians 5:16,17

If we walk by the Spirit we will see, and so will others see, that the 1,376,284,234 Laws will be obsolete:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22,23

To walk by the Spirit or to keep in step with the Spirit we must belong to Christ Jesus (here’s how):

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5:24-26

Today, are you keeping in step with the Spirit?
